America's Rich to Fund Health Care Rights for All Americans

The price of success.

Startling movements in the health care reform debate have surfaced this month. Some of the major topics are highlighted below:

Not only is the Fed punishing the rich through a surtax, but they are funding the health care right with it. Health care is a service, like other services that you can either buy into or not. If health care is important to you, then you will take a portion of your income and buy health care insurance. Just like you would for your car, or your home and possessions. If you decide that your money is better spent on things other than health insurance, then that is your right. You own the risk and rewards for such a decision.

The recent discussions clearly set a precedent that those who make the decision to buy health insurance are indeed also the people that must fund everyone else that does not choose to buy health insurance, as Obama has decided that health care is a right for every American.

When we lived in the UK, we experienced first hand the horror of a nationalized healh care system. Co-workers hobbling in to the office because the government has decided that they can wait until next year to undergo hip surgery. Co-workers leaving the hospital with worse infections than when they entered. And now this article: A 9-month wait for arthritis treatment: Delay can mean a lifetime of agony for victims.

This is what we are in-for folks. Your income taxed at higher rates for plans that do not work, have never worked and will never work. Democrats refuse to think and act logically, nor examine the many trials other countries have already went through. The President does not seem to study history in order to make better decisions for our collective futures, nor does he act on behalf of the majority of Americans as the vast majority of Americans already buy into private health insurance.
